Course introduction week at Kirklees college all week.


We have had a fantastic week covering a wide variety of areas as follows:


* Health and safety
*Equality and Diversity
*Mental Health awareness
*British Values
*Prevent (radicalisation)


* Completed all the introduction paper work including our personal apprentice passport.


* Covered and discussed our citizenship project and already have a few ideas of group volunteer week we are interested in.


* Completed a personal SWOT analysis looking at our own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
* Created our own SMART targets to re-visit at the end of the course.




* Re-visited all welfare benefits processes and procedures and cover the following acts:


Local Government Finance Act 1988, Local Government Finance Act 1992, Social
Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992, Welfare Reform Act 2012 and other relevant
acts.
* In depth look into Universal Credit
* Blogger - learning how to blog.
* Completed block reports
* Getting used to updating and navigating the skilsure system.
* Looking into personal budgeting.
